Nails and Tacks

Sometimes an artist experiences what we call a "happy accident".  We spill something on the painting or we inadvertently apply the wrong color.  Sometimes the result is amazing or just what the painting needed.  That is a "happy accident".   The use of nails and tacks in my work was inspired when I tipped over a jar that had miscellaneous nails, tacks, nuts and bolts.  Several nails were linked together and I saw birds flying, that is all it took to create this series.
